Thank you to everyone who helped make the 6th Annual PAWS Mutt Strut a great day for Philadelphia's animals!
Nearly 2,000 PAWS friends enjoyed fun activities, music, food, and comraderie, all to support our efforts to save and serve the city's most vulnerable pets.
Together, we raised nearly $100,000, and eight PAWS dogs left the event with their new families, enabling us to rescue eight more in their place.

Together, we enjoyed a scenic walk in FDR Park, great entertainment from WMMR, a dog agility course, costume contest, "ask the vet," "ask the trainer," grooming, delicious food, pet portraits, pet supply vendors, face painting, and more. Our Mobile Adoption Unit brought PAWS cats to meet the public, and dozens of adoptable dogs enjoyed a day out of the shelter.
Congratulations and thanks to our highest fundraisers:
- Top Team: Team Monster (6-time champs!)
- Top Individual: Marissa Rubinetti Sanders (2-time champ!)

About PAWS: PAWS is Philadelphia's largest no-kill shelter, and is dedicated to saving the city's homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals. Through its adoption locations, special events, and foster care network, PAWS finds loving homes for thousands of pets each year. PAWS also operates a high-volume, low-cost spay/neuter and wellness clinic serving pet owners who cannot afford basic veterinary care, and rescue organizations that need affordable services to carry out their lifesaving work. This facility, which serves more than 12,000 animals per year, plays a critical role in achieving our mission of reducing and ultimately eliminating the unnecessary killing of Philadelphia's animals.
