Temple PAWS - The basis of the 10-10-10 project is to create 10 student teams per class section, each of which is given $10 seed money and tasked to multiply that by at least a factor of ten by the end of the semester. We have chosen to partner with the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), the city's largest no-kill shelter, and is dedicated to saving Philadelphia's most vulnerable animals.
On Saturday, October 19, We will participate in the 7th Annual PAWS Mutt Strut, which will bring animal lovers and their dogs together for a 1.5-mile scenic walk through The Navy Yard. We will raise badly needed funds for PAWS' lifesaving programs including adoption, foster care, spay/neuter surgery, and veterinary care. We will also raise awareness of the harsh reality that thousands of healthy and treatable animals are killed in Philadelphia each year, simply because they do not have homes.
The Mutt Strut will offer us a day of companionship and celebration, and will enable PAWS to give countless more animals the chance to experience that companionship for themselves. Please give whatever you can, and consider joining us on October 19! Together, we can make Philadelphia a place where every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home.
